We had a very nice dinner in Potomarin and met a very nice father and daughter walking back to our Hostal. Bob and Stephanie are from Chicago and are doing the last 100 km....from Sarria to Santiago. We left the Hostal and had breakfast before taking the hill down out of town before we realized we left the memory card for the camera back in our room. It was too far back to walk so the next few days will be from the iPhone. Another nice day of walking through Galacia. Nice and cool. We came upon a group of Boy Scouts from Texas who were riding bikes on the Camino. About 30 of them including the about half dozen dads. They were having lunch at the same place we were and we left a little before them. They came past us quickly about 15 minutes later (it was all down hill). About a half hour later we saw an ambulance heading down the road. Found out later one of the scouts crashed and broke his collarbone. Too bad, they had come so far. We saw Bob and Stephanie having lunch and stopped shortly to say hello. We got to our casa rural at about 3. Ben went to sleep and I walked another km into town to check it out. Not much there and decided to stay at our place for dinner. Ben has come down with bad allergies the last couple days and is constantly sneezing. So he was pretty tired to walk to town anyway. During dinner. a couple came up to us and asked us if we were the father-son from San Diego. Apperantly they had come upon Bob and Stephanie and they had told them about us. Nice couple from Washington DC and he just retired as a Special Agent with ATF. We had a nice time with them. They were also just walking the the 100 km from Sarria. We are finding as we come across more people, we are like celebrities (or fools) since we started from St Jean.
(Sorry if you're getting this twice - had internet trouble) I just remember the restaurant in Madrid I was telling you about. It's called "La Gloria de Montera." You can google it and I'm pretty sure it's right near the city center. A tad upscale but delicious! Buen camino - you're almost there!
